Hey there! So the holidays are in full swing and if you're like me, you have about 1,000 things on your to-do list. But, that's what makes this time of year fun, right? :) I'm really in the Christmas spirit now (it takes me a little while until I'm really feelin' it) and I'm so ready to bake some cookies and listen to Christmas music. I plan on doing some of that this weekend!
Today I'm sharing a not-so-Christmasy card with you. It's more of a springy one, but I think it works all year round to brighten someone's day. I used the "Flap Happy" set from Paper Smooches and created layered butterflies using two of the stamps in the set.
After gluing down the smaller butterflies, I folded up their wings a bit to create some dimension. To get this effect, make sure to use only a tiny drop of glue in the very center of the piece, so they don't get stuck all the way down.
Don't you just love the "enjoy this day" sentiment? It's one of my favorites. It's just so whimsical and happy (as Kim's stamps always are) and I really think it could be used for a ton of occasions (wedding, graduation, birthday, etc.)! So be sure to go check out Flap Happy on the Paper Smooches site and get your hands on it.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're enjoying the hustle and bustle of the holiday season! Are you all done your Christmas crafting and shopping yet? I'm almost (sort of) done! :)
